Red Collar Inc. was a site-specific installation and performance for Kitchen Sink: Step Into My Office. It was a collaboration between myself and Maggie Casey, Peter Valois, Andy Furgeson, Eliza Fernand and Anna Weber. Maggie and I choreographed a dance via email that we performed in our cubicles without ever having rehearsed together; Eliza and Anna designed and created the costumes by mailing each other materials; and Peter and Andy attempted to compose identical music compositions from a series of written instructions. The project was about miscommunication, and what we say versuss what we mean. It was about the distance between people.
